INFORMED NANAIMO VOTERS MAKE CHANGES

Be the Change Nanaimo Needs

Informed voters read past the headline and the 30-second clip on the evening snooze.

Voters who are tired of never-ending tax increases — and city councils that seem disconnected from taxpayer affordability — need to realize something important:

If things are going to change, citizens have to be part of that change.

That starts with getting serious about civic duty. It starts with becoming informed. It starts with knowing the issues, watching how decisions are made, and paying attention to who voted for what.

Citizens need to get off the couch, turn off the boob tube, and start following City Hall — either by attending council meetings in person or watching online.

A great place to find the kind of information needed to make better choices is Voice of Nanaimo.
