The first story by the Bulletin editor explains why taking a huge pay cut to work as a nurse in Canada is superior to working in the US under the current President. The Nurses Strike Vote piece would seem a contradiction?
The Frye story presents B.C. health care as morally and professionally preferable to the U.S. system. That may be true from Frye’s perspective. But on the very same day, the publication reported that B.C.’s own nurses are threatening job action over respect, safety, staffing, wages/benefits, and retention.
