King Charles To Open 45th Canadian Parliament
In what will be a significant event in the history of Canada, on May 27, 2025, the King will deliver the Speech from the Throne.
The last time such an event occurred was in 1957 when Queen Elizabeth opened the Canadian Parliament.
This event marks a major change in direction for the Dominion of Canada, one which the average Canadian is yet to grasp.
PM Carney, when referring to Canada-USA relations, is quoted to say: "As I have stressed repeatedly, our old relationship based on steadily increasing integration is over, adding that he would fight to get the best deal for the country. The questions now are how our nations will cooperate in the future."
Going forward, it will be of interest to see how Canadians react to the realization we are now intending to disconnect from our relationship with the USA and engage in a new one in which we acknowledge King Charles III as the King of Canada.
