Feeling Over-taxed, Council Doesn't Listen?

 I produce VOICE of NANAIMO and a few other websites to fill a void in the country. That void is being left by the mainstream media these days, which would not exist were it not for government largesse.

Specifically, VOICE of NANAIMO is intended to inform, educate, and motivate the good citizens of Nanaimo to do what they think is impossible.  What would that be, you ask?? Having a say in how you are governed and taxed by those you have put in authority over you.

There is a reason you think your vote or your voice doesn't matter, because most elected officials say one thing to get elected, and then do as they please once elected. And they get away with it for the most part.

Why do elected officials say one thing and then do another? Because the MOST IMPORTANT component in government is not doing its part.

What part is that you say? Come close, and I will tell you how to learn what that part is! If you want to know the non-working part, you must go to the closest mirror in your house. There you will see the broken part of our democracy, if the person staring back is not participating on a regular basis with the affairs at city hall, there is the reason staring back at you.

YOU are the reason our democracy isn't working. The truth is City Hall is not broken but it is unattended by YOU.

If you want to see change at city hall, a lowering of your taxes, an end to spending waste, then it is up to YOU to be the difference.
